ESSENTIALS package

This package is designed to help the boutique vintner and vineyard owner struggling with limited winemaking experience and gaps in technical knowledge to make the best, highest quality wine possible. You will immerse yourself in a creative, collaborative winemaking mentorship process from pre-harvest planning through bottling. We’ll work together closely to build your winemaking confidence and educate your palate every step of the way.

1. Pre-Harvest Planning

Time to get ready for harvest! This is the critical planning stage to ensure a successful and smooth Harvest. Whether this is your first Harvest or fifteenth, we’ll create an action plan to pick your grapes at their peak, establish your stylistic goals, and bring together your vineyard and winemaking team. You will feel prepared, excited, and ready to go!

2. Harvest

Showtime! During this critical stage, we’ll work closely together to optimize your fruit’s delivery from vineyard to winery, and to begin the winemaking process! I’ll be there to guide you in navigating every challenge and make the quick decisions necessary to achieve your wine tasting goals. You’ll learn about the fermentation process and build your tasting confidence as you taste your wine’s developing profile daily.

3. During Aging

Once the fun frenzy of harvest is over, we’ll turn our focus to carefully guiding your wine’s development, and preparing for the bottling stage.

4. End of Aging / Pre-Bottling

You’ve reached the culmination of your wines’ development! Here, we’re crafting your signature blends. As we continue our regular tastings and make adjustments to your blends, you’ll develop your palate and learn how different wines complement (or don’t) one another. At the end, you’ll have a wine that you and your customers will love!

5. Bottling

This is the most critical step in the winemaking path. I’ll guide you through every nuanced detail of the bottling process to protect your wine’s integrity from tank to bottle to toast. We’ll also make sure your bottle looks as good as your wine tastes.

This package is for the inquisitive winery owner who wants all of the support & assured success of the Essentials package, but also to dive more deeply into the artistic and technical aspects of winemaking. By investing more time on experimentation and education, we will elevate your wines from great to spectacular, garnering notice and acclaim.  At every stage, you will be highly involved with the winemaking process, and together we’ll craft something exceptional that stands out in a crowded market. To ensure your wines get the exposure, visibility, and sales they deserve, I’ll stick by you after bottling to create key marketing supports and connect you with PR and marketing experts.

6. Marketing Your Wine

Your wine is in the bottle -- now it’s time to share it with the world and drive a profit! To make sure your wine is accurately and enticingly advertised, I’ll prepare professional tasting notes and technical data sheets. We’ll provide these materials to your sales network to share with buyers. To generate even more exposure for your wine, I’ll help you identify key tastings, competitions, and events your wine should be featured in, and support your success as a representative during those events. This visibility backed by the support of my industry connections translates to more happy customers and more money in your bank account!

Can’t wait for the grapes to turn into wine? Let’s talk about a Bulk to Bottle project. The focus is on finding top quality wines on the bulk wine market, blending, and bottling with your label. I will help you source your ideal wines and packaging, and coordinate with a winery for bottling. This is a great way to get into the wine business, and can be an ongoing revenue source.
